The fibrillization of monomeric TAU to filaments is a multistep process that involves the formation of various aggregates, including spherical and protofibrillar oligomers. Human TAU AGGREGATE ELISA
recognizes such TAU aggregates without pre-treatment from biological samples as human nerve tissue and cell culture as well as samples from human transgenic mice e.g. P301L mice.
Assay acts as sandwich ELISA using one monoclonal antibody as capture and HRP labelled as detection antibody. The evidence of bound HRP immuno complexes is shown by TMB/H2O2 staining or luminescence staining.
